Committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Our Christian Faith
We are a Christian congregation that believes in God as revealed to us in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God became human in Jesus of Nazareth; and his life, death and resurrection demonstrates God's redeeming love.
We believe that God speaks to us through the Bible, and that it contains all things necessary for salvation.
What does it mean to be a Christian?
To be a Christian, is to believe in God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Christians also believe that in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ. God became human in Jesus of Nazareth; and his life, death and resurrection demonstrate God's redeeming love. All that’s required to be a Christian and to find salvation is to trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior and to put your whole trust in his grace.
Baptism
Baptism is a public sign of God’s grace. Grace is freely given to all people regardless of their age or past. Baptism celebrates the start of one’s Christian life and entrance into the church. In baptism, we are marked as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Membership
Membership is a commitment to support the church with your prayers, presence, gifts, and service. We live believe that every Christian should be committed to a faith community, where they can study and grow as a follower of Christ and continually receive God’s grace.
Our Denomination
The United Methodist Church is a 12.6-million-strong global church that opens hearts, opens minds, and open doors through active engagement with our world.
John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action.
